About

My passion as a clinician is to work with any and all individuals from various cultures, countries, backgrounds, communities, and lives who are experiencing significant struggles related to their mental health. I most often work with people who are having a very difficult time managing or controlling their emotions, whether you feel overly sensitive or constantly numb, people who can’t seem to stop their thoughts from racing to worst case scenario, and those troubled by their past. Often these concerns can be severe and related to traumatic events, you may even have been diagnosed with PTSD. Sometimes that diagnosis can provide understanding, but sometimes only raises more questions about how to start feeling better.

I have trauma-informed training and am also certified to provide Cognitive Processing Therapy to those diagnosed with PTSD – it is a type of treatment that was created to specifically target the difficulties that trauma can create in our lives. Traumatic experiences can keep us trapped in the past and cycling in the memories, emotions, and thoughts on ourselves and those around us. My training and expertise can help you move to a place where you are in the present and able to enjoy life. My training isn’t just for those with PTSD however, but anyone who may be struggling with their mental health in general – particularly those who may have tried therapy before without success or who want to explore how their past is impacting their present.

We can work together to figure out the root causes to the concerns that you have, build structures and tools that help you not only navigate these concerns but to believe in yourself, and create helpful changes at a brain level so that your recovery and healing is something that can stay with you long after your final psychotherapy session. If you’ve ever felt lost, unseen, forgotten, broken, worthless – It would be my pleasure to speak with you about all the ways psychotherapy with myself can support you in changing that story.
